Friday – Skydiver Badge!

Yesterday evening I had to smile when I received an email from FitBit advising me that I had earned another badge … the Skydiver Badge.

Like you I wondered what on earth that was all about ….

Wow! You’ve earned the Skydiver badge!

You’ve climbed your way to skydiving elevation.

That’s 1,000 floors!

So it looks like I have climbed 1,000 flights of stairs since getting my FitBit for Christmas.  It says I get another badge at 2,000 floors, I wonder how long until I get that one!

Well the first thing I wanted to mention today is that this morning my hubbie commented on the soup from last night.  He mentioned how good the Shrimp & Corn Chowder was.  He was late getting home so he had his late in the evening.  He doesn’t normally pass comments unless of course he doesn’t like it.  So I think it is safe to say this was really good.

This whole blog for me is a bit of a learning curve.  I finally realised today that I should post my recipes as a separate post and not then include them in my daily food journal too.  Otherwise basically I am posting them twice!!

I am babysitting my 3 grandchildren tonight – 7 years old, 3 years old and 16 months.  The baby is asleep and the girls are watching an old Lassie movie.  I introduced them to Lassie a few weeks ago and they love it.  I remember watching this with my parents when I was a little girl.

Bethany helped with the preparation of dinner tonight.  Although she did inform me she didn’t like the smell of the balsamic vinegar or the garlic!!

Anyway it is was a pretty simple meal to pull together and it was good.

Well I feel pretty good about this week and the food choices I have made.  I have managed to stick to my daily points allowance without going over too much at all.  So tomorrow is the start of a new week and a new menu plan.  Excited to carry on with this journey of good choices ……
